Miss Artemis Matsou is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon specialising in Cornea, Cataract, and Refractive Surgery, serving as the Cataract Lead at the world-renowned Queen Victoria Hospital at East Grinstead, a leading tertiary referral centre.

She is highly skilled in complex cataract surgery, corneal transplantation techniques for the full range corneal diseases, and refractive surgery. Miss Matsou also provides tailored treatments for dry eye syndrome and ocular surface disease, offering innovative approaches in dry eye management and ocular surface reconstruction, including limbal stem cell transplantation.
Miss Matsou holds the esteemed FEBOS-CR accreditation from the European Board of Ophthalmology, reflecting her advanced proficiency in cataract and refractive surgery. She has completed two prestigious corneal fellowships at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, and Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead, and is both a Fellow of the European Board of Ophthalmology and a Member of the Royal College of Physicians of London.
